Web Package

Hosted Web Services (HWS) offers a growing list of Web applications which on a per-case setup can be used as stand-alone or combination. To facilitate the management of multiple applications per client account and to generally simplify the "add features and applications later" concept, "Web Package" consists of a hosting account compatible with all HWS services in any combination order.

"Web Package" by default offers these - but not limited to - features which can be individually configured and activated:
  • Webmail
"Hotmail-style" email interface for hosted email accounts which can be accessed by both IMAP and POP.
  • Database
Both MySQL and PostgreSQL are supported.
  • Control Panel
User and Site Admin management interface.
  • (Sub)-domains
It is up to the client to determine what URL points to what application.

Intranet Package

This package is designed for use within local networks (Intranet) with an optional outside connection (to establish an Extranet). All HWS applications can be installed in a local network for company/office-wide use or on individual stations such as field agents' portable computers. There is no difference in the applications' behavior no matter which package they are installed on.

Please note:
Although an Extranet connection over the Internet to the Intranet Package could be interpreted as a web server, the Intranet Package does not support web server services in terms of maintenance and support.
